Science

These past couple of weeks have been about exploring water.  The K/1's had fun experimenting how different materials such as rocks, soil, and sand effect water's movement.  The children had fun using pipettes to move a drop of water across a tray, make a line of water, and more.....This morning the children tested their predictions on how water moves into and through plastic foam, construction paper, and paper towels.

After science class, during language arts, we took a hike in the woods pretending we were water and imagining how water moves through all things in nature.  Next, in language arts, the children will be writing a poem entitled "I am Water."  More about it in the near future.....
