K-1 HAPPENINGS - THE LAST TWO WEEKS

In Science class we sequenced the life cycle of a frog.

As you can see there are different ways to show the life cycle of a frog.

We are making observational drawings of the gardens we planted early in September.

The plants are growing!

Reading with our middle school buddies.

It's raining but we are out in the woods - Muddy Boots Club!.  It's dark in this part of the
woods without the sun - lots of trees here.
It's much lighter on this trail.  The leaves are changing color.  We
are looking for changes in nature.
The colors are so bright in the rain.

These yellow flowers are so pretty - what are they?

On the way back we just had to walk in the puddles.

It's not raining anymore! Let's hope the puddles stay around for a long time.

Another science class in the gardens.  This time
it's the butterfly garden.

Our observational drawings are so much more detailed and true
to what we actually observe, since our first observations back at the beginning of school.

See how focused we are!  We are real scientists that's why!

We are off to another Muddy Boots Club!  It's not raining this week.

We are looking for something beautiful, something old, and something round. The
teachers were amazed at all the things we came up with.

Exploring during our scavenger hunt is so much fun.
Here is a toad! Something very beautiful!
I am so kind to the toad and after everyone had a look,
I put it back very gently.

These trees look very interesting!
