We really like this weaving!  We just got started  -
it's hard to smile and weave at the same time

Ojos the Dios or God's Eye is a cultural symbol in Mexico.  Ojo de Dios is a
yarn weaving and it is also considered a spiritual object.  When a child
is born in Mexico, the father weaves the central eye, then one eye is
added for every year of the child's life until the
age of five.

we chose to design an Aztec temple to build in the block center

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK

First grade mathematicians

- Earth Day Assembly -
The whole school gathered outside to sing songs and join
buddies for earth day activities.
